Q: What is the difference between NYY and THW calble wires?

A: NYY cable (TIS 11-2531) is solid and stranded conductor PVC insulated and double sheathed. Applicable for low circuit voltage not exceeding 750 volts and maximum conductor temperature of 75°c. There are various type of conductor from single-core, 2, 3, 4 – cores with insulator, inner and outer sheaths. Preferably used for temporary and exposed installation, or in raceway, wet or dry location, or direct burial in ground, with higher price and weight compare to THW cable.

THW cable (TIS 11/2531) is solid and stranded conductor PVC insulated, single-core. Applicable for low circuit voltage not exceeding 600 volts and maximum conductor temperature of 75°c. Conductor is solid and stranded annealed copper with PVC insulation. Preferably used for building wiring for installation on insulator or in raceway, dry location, permanently installation (Free Air), with less price and weight compare to NYY.

Q: Does Namsang Chakkol have a 3P 220V output generator?

If renting in personal capacity, we require you’re original ID card (Certified true copy), household registration (Certified true copy), maps (home, office, and work site), contact numbers (home and mobile), and deposit.

Q: What is Automatic Start System?

A: Automatic Start System is widely used nowadays. This system will automatically switch on the generator when power failure is detected, in which it can reduce the cost for hiring a generator operator and it can supply power simultaneously in just one to two minutes.

Q: How to determine the suitable size of welding genset by the size of welding rods?

A: We can determine by the size of the welding rods. 300 Amp welding genset is recommended for using 2.6 – 3.2 mm. welding rod. 400 Amp welding genset is recommended for using 3.2 – 4 mm. welding rod. 500 Amp welding genset is recommended for using 5 – 6 mm. welding rod.

Q: How to convert kw to kVA from the electric bills?

A: We can convert kw to kVA by the obtaining the value of kw divided by 0.8. (kw / 0.8 = kVA)

Q: How is the transportation cost of Namsang Chakkol calculated?

A: The transportation cost of Namsang Chakkol is calculated based on distance and size of machinery.

Q: What is the difference between High Pressure air compressor and normal air compressor?

A: Standard pressure designed for air compressor is 7 bar – 8.5 bar. If the pressure is higher than this, it is considered as High Pressure air compressor.

Q: What is the difference between electric cutout and circuit breaker?

A: Both are safety devices use to protect from power overload or short circuit. For electrical cutout, it will cause blown fuse. For circuit breaker, it will cause breaker trip. Nowadays, circuit breaker is widely used by its convenience and appearance.

Q: What are the factors need to consider when choosing for a backup generator?

A: Factors need to consider are:

   1.Stability of the engine RPM.

   2.Stability of power voltage.

3.Scope of work that may vary power consumption.

4.Climate and environment of installation location.

   5.Installation designation.

Q: How to properly turns off a generator?

A:

  1. Inspect the main circuit breaker, make sure the main line has been uninstalled from the main circuit breaker.

  1. Idling the engine rpm for 3-5 minutes without load to cooled down temperature in bearings, shafts, and combustion chamber. This process is necessary for turbocharged engine.

  1. Turn off the engine by turning the key switch to STOP position.
